Touch Pro
Just wondering if there is a way to have all radios 3G for the Touch Pro activated, if you travel it would be useful.

Thanks to AliBabNet on http://htcwiki.com/thread/1066186/My+city+is+not+listed+in+weather+%28touch%29 thread I have found out how to change the weather on the touch pro:
Use a registry editor as suggested, but the key is: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\HTC\MANILLA\Weather.CityList Use the codes found on www.accuweather.com (in the address bar when you find your city) to add your new city (separated by commas). This works GREAT... unless you live in a city with a space in the name..! For example (and at risk of giving away personal data) I live in EUR|JE|JE---|SAINT+HELIER I have tried EUR|JE|JE---|SAINT HELIER, I have even tried EUR|JE|JE---|SAINT&20HELIER and EUR|JE|JE---|SAINTHELIER. None work - it keeps resetting back to the default 6 cities! I know it is not the ---'s as EUR|IM|IM---|DOUGLAS works. Any ideas or am I just out of luck? |

The "Search" function is erroring out on me so I thought I'd post a New Thread since I have problems with delayed gratification. :) I've also posted this on other forums so apologies if that's bad form.
I have a new TP on VZE and am trying to get tethering working. Every time I use ModemLink, select USB and click "Start" I get "End Data Call First". I've checked to see that ActiveSync is not running, turned on Airplane mode, turned off Data Connection and/or Phone, etc. and tried various combinations of those but the Data Connection always seems to resurrect itself and clicking "Start" in ModemLink gives me the "End Data Call First" message. SOMETHING is keeping that connection alive and I can't for the life of me figure out what it is. I've also tried a long press on the "End Call" button but no joy. There are some other issues as well, but I thought someone might have a quick answer (as opposed to VZW support, which MIGHT have a looooong attempt at an answer). Thanks in advance. |
