"I know I can disable VC via Start->Settings->Personal->Voice Command, but VC constantly re-enables itself whenever I plug in my headset. And then once a while, VC would activate and start calling the last number I called even though I didnt command it to.

Anyway to permanently disable or remove VC?

In WM6.1 VC is part of the ROM, so you can't just remove it with "Remove Programs". The easiest and safest way to do it is to use File Explorer to go into the Windows folder and rename vcbthag.dll to a different name ... something like vcbthag.ddd. That way if VC tries to activate, it can't find the executable file to make it load. You could get a few error messages when it tries to load VC and can't find the file, so if that gets too annoying and you don't mind doing a registry edit, go to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Voice Command and rename "Voice Command" to something like "Boice Command".

I would try the first method and avoid the reg edit, since they are risky if you aren't 100% sure of what you're doing. Whatever method you use, make a note in Outlook Notes of what you renamed, so you can change it back if you ever want to use VC. I use it all the time and I really like it. It has a steep learning curve, but I think it's worth the effort.
