I purchased my sprint diamond touch in December. I find that the "auto light" option, although very cool, is very electron hungry. As soon as I put it in manual mode (backlighting, that is), my battery life improved considerably. Also, I find that if you a "kill all aps" option, sometimes it leaves the backlighting on even when the screen is black. you can't really tell in normal daylight. At night, it was obvious. If you have the AT&T version, it is my understanding that you have about 30% less battery life.
2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

I am interested in how many people who have the HTC Touch Diamond CDMA version have issues with the battery. I find with screen backlight settings low, GPS disabled, I use 2.3 hours of data per days and 20 min of phone calls and the device battery has 3 bars or less left.
Telus Mobility has replaced once and HTC (outsourced) tech support has no solutions. Does anyone have any reg hacks or other solutions to improve the battery life? When the Touch Pro comes out, how can they compete for corp customers who need 8 hours of push email plus likely 2/3 hours talk time. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
