Changing Button Functions

Do you find yourself using a certain program or function on the 8125 and wish there was a dedicated button? The steps below will show you how to change the functions of the hardware buttons on your 8125 to suit your needs.

  1. Go to Start > Settings > “Personal” tab > Buttons icon
  2. Press the “Program Buttons” tab on the bottom of the screen
  3. “Select a button” you wish to assign a program to
  4. “Assign a program” to the selected button from the drop down menu

Example: If you want to map the OK/Close function to the Voice Speed Dial key for easier one-handed operation

  1. Select Button 4: Voice Speed Dial from the Select a button section
  2. Select <OK/Close> from the Assign a program section
  3. Tap OK to save the settings

Now, everytime you are in a program and want to exit you can press the Voice Speed Dial key (now the exit key!) instead of using the stylus.

I DON'T HAVE A "PERSONAL" TAB UNDER START>SETTINGS. ANY IDEA WHY?
Do you find this valuable?
