Have AT&T Tilt (TYTN II) with WM6.1 trying to setup bluetooth headset (Moto HS850). After pairing sucessfully and setting the headset to handsfree mode on the setup screen i still can't get audio through the headset on an incoming call unless i first answer the call from the phone and then use the menu to select handsfree while the call is connected. If i am making a call with the headset paired the audio is fine and i dont have to do anything special. Any suggestions on settings or adding a third party bluetooth stack?

HTC TyTN II Upgrade problem to WM6.1 (Active Sync) |

I have also an WM6.1 problem related to the upgrade on my TyTN II (and some other within our corporation). Great idea for the Microsoft WM team to do the messaging options like an IM client, functionality upgrades, SCCM managibility and whatnot, but the major problem starts with Active Sync...
Servers: Microsoft Exchange 2007 x64 (SP1) - SSL/OWA/etc enabled. Windows 2003 Enterprise Server R2 x64
PCs: Windows XP SP2, Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista Ent (x86 & x64) SP1
When syncing the device (TyTN II) to retrieve or send compiled mails, the device seem to pop up with a blank screen (generated by Active Sync), with the actual syncing process trying to take place behind this window. Pressing the "OK" button takes the window away, and then the nice error message appears "attention required" - you have stopped active sync... This is most irratating as the sync does not take place successfully. This also results that the email messages situated in the "Drafts" folder are sent, yet does not move to "Sent", replicating the message almost every 5min to the destined user...
This problem never existed with the WM6 release, yet doing the upgrade to WM6.1 and reverting back to WM6 left this problem intact that it keeps on occuring...

Here is a third one. I think after reading this one, I may try to rebuild my .PST file once, and if it doesn't work, I will bail on WM 6.1:

Downgrade from Windows Mobile 6.1 |

I have had nothing but grief since I installed Windows Mobile6.1.
The biggest problem is it won't sync properly to 2 computers, I get the Error on desktop message 086000107 also programs malfunction and lock up. How can I get rid of this "upgrade"? Will a hard reset put me back to WM 6.0?
I am not interested in why this happens or how to fix it, I just need a phone that works!

Issues with the new Sound manager for the at&t Tilt with WM 6.1 |

I upgraded my Tilt to WM 6.1. I have been using the new functionality of the new OS, including the added Sound Manager that manages the ringer type. I have chosen to use the Automatic setting on the manager to allow the phone to automatically switch the ringer from Normal (audio) to Vibrate based on Calendar entries on the phones, which is very handy for me.
One thing I am irritated about is that the Manager will automatically switch to vibrate, no matter what the Calendar entries are, including if the entry is set to status is Free. This means that during holidays or extended vacations, the phone is set to vibrate the entire day, which is rather annoying. Obviously, I can manually set the ringer mode to Normal (audio), but it is obviously very inconvenient to change that all the time, and I hate being woken up in the middle of the night for alerts of automated spam emails that get sent out in the middle of the night when I forget to switch to vibrate.
Is there a plan to add more intelligence into that program (i.e do not switch modes for Calendar entries that have the Status set to Free)?
Thanks

I hear tell MS is working on Mobile 7. Since our ROM is flashable does anyone know if there would be an upgrade path for those of us using the TyTnII?

I think it would depend on when WM 7 is released, The TyTN II and the Tilt have been two of HTC's most successful models, an awful lot of people have these phones. I would think that if WM 7 comes out sooner than later, while HTC wants you to buy a new phone, they would not want to leave the millions of Tilt and TyTN II faithful hanging.
But browntannis is right, there are plenty of other ways to get WM 7 and keep our tilt screens.

I had The same problem an message. it turned out phone providers use their own " tweaked" version of the rom o/s and Orange UK especially are guilty of this. Which means that if you have a phone provider branded device you would need to contact your providers website to see if an upgrade is available. I downloaded my upgrade from the orange website. Though I would seriously consider not bothering as the upgrade did some annoying things with my tytn II and it apparantly went on perfectly.

Garmin Mobile XT problems after upgrading ATT Tilt to WM6.1 |

i used to be able to use Garmin Mobile XT before the upgrade;but now, my tilt is having problems searching for satellites. i tried to reinstall the program several times, did soft resets, and was even so desperate as to perform a hard reset, but it still did not work. I know that the GPS is active because i see the flashing orange light, but it cannot seem to detect any satellites at all-this had me wising i did not upgrade to the new ROM. THe newly added functions such as voice command, remote desktop, etc sounded appealing at first, but after all the troubles i've gone through, i think i'll be reverting back to the old, reliable ROM that i had previously.

RE: Garmin Mobile XT problems after upgrading ATT Tilt to WM6.1
By: Anonymous, Nov 16 2008, 5:03 PM EST
I had the same problem: My GPS in my ATT Tilt worked fine until I upgraded to WM6.1. After installing WM6.1, Google Maps and Live Search kept telling me "GPS receiver not found." The orange light was blinking, but apparently the system couldn't detect the GPS. I tried setting External GPS to Com4 and BAUD rate of 4600, QuickGPS to update satelite positions , and lots of other suggestions and almost gave up. Finally, I found a post on a bulletin board that said, 1) uninstall Google Maps, and Live Search 2) go to Settings>Today>items...and deselect HTC Home 3) reinstall Google Maps and Live Search.
After doing this, Google Maps was able to detect the satelites within seconds! Unfortunately, I still couldn't get Live Search to detect the satelites, but at least now I have a gps capability from my ATT Tilt as long as I have internet service!
Once I got Google Maps to detect satelites, I was able to add HTC to my Today profile and it still worked...Google Maps could still detect my position via GPS.
This may not work for everybody...but it did for me. Good Luck!
