Calendar
To Do
Create an appointment Tap Menu > New Appointment.
View by day, week, month, or year Press left soft key.
Move to previous day, week, or month Use left/right navigation keys.
Move to previous day, week, or month Tap on the day you wish to view.
Add an attendee to a meeting Open the meeting from Calendar, then tap Menu > Edit. Select the Attendees field and the add the attendee.

Messaging
To Do
Select Inbox for viewing (E-mail, SMS.MMS) Tap the account you wish to view.
Open a message Tap the message.
Compose a new message Tap Menu > New.
Reply to message Tap Menu > Reply > Reply or press Reply soft key.
Forward message Tap Menu > Reply > Forward.
Reply to all Tap Menu > Reply > Reply All.

Typing
To Do
Type words quickly Slide device open and use built in keyboard.
Choose selected item in list that appears when you type Tab the item.
Type a letter in uppercase Press Shift/Cap button then the letter
Type alternate characters on a key Press Alt and the key.
Insert @ in an E-mail field Press Alt and the L key.
Access Letter Recognizer/Transcriber While in application, tap keyboard icon at the bottom center of the screen.
Turn on CAP lock Press Alt and Shift/Cap buttons.
Turn off CAP lock Press Alt and Shift/Cap buttons.
Type a number Press Alt and the number key

Navigate Screens
To Do
Move cursor Tap screen with stylus, use the five-way navigation button, or the arrow keys on the keyboard.
Exit screen or dialog box Press OK, or tap the X icon in the upper right hand corner.
Select an icon or menu item Tap the icon using the stylus or press the center navigation key.
Return to Today screen from any screen Press End key.
Set-up E-mail
To Do
Adding an E-mail Account The Set Up E-mail application provides virtually unlimited access to your work and personal E-mail right on your device. Instantly access your E-mail from Microsoft® Exchange, AOL®, AIM®, Yahoo!®, Windows Live™, Earthlink®, Comcast®, and many more, including any POP3 or IMAP4 server.
  • Tap Set up E-mail on Today screen, or tap Start > Programs > Set Up E-mail.
  • To add an E-mail account, select the desired account from the presented list, then follow the instructions on the screen and provide your E-mail address and password. E-mail accounts like Gmail®, Comcast®, Earthlink®, Adelphia®, etc., can be added by selecting Other E-mail.
  • Tap Finish to attempt synchronization with your mailbox. The last 3 days worth of E-mail will be downloaded to your device.
  • Once your account has been added, a new Inbox for this E-mail account can be found at Start > Messaging.
  • You can add a maximum of 6 E-mail accounts in addition to one Outlook account.
Outlook Set-up Using Active Sync Synchronize your device directly with your Microsoft Exchange Server. No need to connect with your computer. Just follow the simple step-by-step instructions below. All you need is your Exchange login name, password, domain and mail server details.
  • Tap Set Up E-mail on the Today screen, or tap Start > Programs > Set up E-mail.
    From the list of accounts, select Outlook E-mail and then tap Next. (You do not need to have the device connected to a PC).
  • Tap "Set up your device to sync with it"
  • Enter your server address. If required, check teh box "This server requires an encrypted (SSL) connection".
  • Enter your user name, password, and domain. Check the box to "Save Password".
  • Check the boxes of the items you wnat to sync. To change E-amil size and amount, highlight E-mail and Choose "Settings." Then press Finish when done.
  • Wait for ActiveSync to sync your data for all categories you chose.
  • Schedule your sync times easily by tapping Menu > Schedule


To Do
Lock the device Tap Device Unlocked icon that appears in the lower right corner, or hold down the V key.~
Unlock the device Press Unlock soft key, then tab the on-screen Unlock button.~
Switch between default and vibrate profiles Tap Volume icon and select Vibrate, or hold down the T key.
Open phone dialer Press Talk key.
View unread messages Tap Unread Messages prompt, or press the Messaging button on the side of the device
To Do
Reboot (soft reset) Press Reset button, using stylus.
Charge the device Use USB cable. If battery is critically low, use AC adapter.
Factory reset, delete all user data Tap Start > Settings > System tab > Clear Storage. Then, enter 1234 and tap Yes.
Turn flight mode on/off Open Comm Manager, then tap Phone.
Adjust volume Slide Volume Control key up/down.
Stop a running program Tap Start > Settings > System tab > Task Manager, select program and tap Stop Selected.
Enable "X" icon to close program rather then minimize Tap Start > Settings > System tab > Task Manager > Button tab, and select "Enable "X" button to end running programs".
Change to landscape view Slide device open.
Sync with PC Install ActiveSync (not needed for Windows Vista) and follow provided instructions. To sync music or other digitally protected media, use Windows Media Player 10 or later.
Conserve battery life Turn off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and/or Direct Push E-mail functions.
Turn Wi-Fi on or off Open Comm Manager, then tap Wi-Fi.

Web Browser
To Do
Open web browser Press Start key then select Internet Explorer, or press Alt and the Internet Explorer key.
Enter a Web address and go to it Tap the address bar, enter the address, then tap Go.
Move up/down a page Use up/down navigation keys, or up/down arrow keys.

Phone Features
To Do
End call Press End key.
Call selected name or phone number Press Contacts soft key and scroll to the desired Contact, or jump to a contact by entering their name or number. List will filter as each letter or number is entered.
Call a speed dial number Hold assigned number key.
Call voice mail access number Press and hold 1 key on their onscreen dial pad or keyboard.
Turn mute on/off during a call Tap Mute/Unmute
Switch between speaker and earpiece during a call Press and hold the green Talk key, or press Menu soft key and select Speakerphone On/Off
Adjust volume during a call Slide Volume Control key up or down.
View phone call logs Press Talk key and tap "Call History".
Use Smart Dialer Open the phone dialer, then begin entering contact name or number using touch-screen keypad. Select the name and click to dial.
Dial with Voice Command Press the Voice Command key on the side of the device, then say "Call" followed by the name, or "Dial" followed by the number you wish to dial.
Mail and Attachments
To Do
Download entire message Tap Menu > Download Message or tap the "Get the rest of this message" link shown in the body of the message. The message will be downloaded the next time Send/Receive is initiated.
Downloaded attachment Tap the attachment to download. The attachment will be downloaded the next time Send/Receive is initiated.
Save downloaded attachment Download the attachment. Then, tap and hold on attachment and tap Save As.
Initiate Send/Receive Tap Menu > Send/Receive.
Attach a file to email message Tap Menu > Insert > File.
Zoom in on an image Tap Menu > Zoom. Then, magnifying glass at bottom right to zoom in.
Zoom out of an image Tap Menu > Zoom. Then, use magnifying glass at bottom right to zoom out.
Rotate an image Tap Menu > Edit > Rotate.
Use the keyboard to execute frequently-used commands from within the in box Tap and hold:
H - List shortcuts
A - Reply All
R - Reply
K - Mark Read/Unread
F - Flag for follow up (requires Microsoft Exchange® Server 2007)
M - Move
O - Forward
D - Delete
L - Download Message
S - Send/Receive
