Sennheiser VMX 100 and HTC Touch Pro (Raphael) not pairing

Hi,
I've just bought the Sennheiser VMX 100 Handsfree, but I ran into some trouble while trying to pair it.
Apparently, the problem is not new in any way, as I found over at XDA Dev;

I didn't fully understand/succed with the method described there....Is it any other way I can get my VMX and Touch Pro to talk together, or should I simply return it and get another one?
(I tried the HTC BTM 200 before the Sennheiser. It broke in 3 days with very little use...)

Any suggestions are welcome!

this is what i gathered from that thread

start pairing the phone

the phone it will ask if its ok to connect and u say ok

then it will ask for the password and u enter it (0000)

and after that it should be synced

but then the phone will say error after, and according to that forum dont worry about it it acually has synced

Yes, that was what i thought too.
I turn on bluetooth on my phone, and starts the pairing. The phone asks which device I want to connect, I choose the VMX. I then get the passkey question, which I've tried answering with 5 zeros, 4 zeros, 1-4, 1-5 etc etc and of course no passkey at all.
After pressing next, it loads for a while, and I get the popup about adding the device to the devicelist. After pressing "yes" - another window pops up, telling me the pairing failed because it could not connect.

I will look around for hotfixes and other upgrades....Kinda sucks spending $130+ on a "highend" handsfree that doesn't work out of the box....

Yeah i no what u mean but its not there fault they cant make sure there product works with all 1 million different phones

Yeah, Sennheiser blames HTC for the VMX not working, so I guess I'll try and get the software figured out. Right now, even updating my phone is not going so well. I guess it's just one of those weeks....

I'm getting no connection with Windows Update at all. I see the phone attempting all the protocols available, even USB and Wifi, but it just states that the server is not available..
This shit is really starting to get to me, the tool I need to stay productive have become the one thing that keeps me from being productive... :-D

I'm located in Norway, so I guess my provider will not mean anything to you...It's called Chess. They provide literally all services, GSM, HSDPA, GPRS, EDGE etc...

I've tried connection via wireless and cable, but no luck there either.

Suggestions?

Problem solved! I upgraded with ALL hotfixes and ROM updates I could find. Still struggled a bit with connecting to windows update. At least, this time, the recipe at XDA worked, and I can finally use my VMX...
