I am trying to make my music into ringtones on my htc fuze. I downloaded songs from myxertones.com and the file says it mp3. I dont know how to get them to ringtones. The user manual says to click and hold and then to click make it a ringtone, but that doesnt show up.

Fuse Delays in ringing, does not wke in time for calls |

Thread started: Sunday, 1:23 AM EST Watch
i am experiencing trouble with my fuse actually ringing. If I call it after it has been asleep for a while, it does not ring aloud for about 3-4 rings. It will wake sometimes ont he 2 ring and the light will go on the screen, but it will be 3-4 rings before you hear an audible ring. There have been instances where it has even not rang out loud at all and I miss the call entirely. I tried a cooked rom without all the bloatware but it still had a delay in waking and producing an audible ring. On another forum it was suggested to:
1) Phone - Settings - Services - Call Forwarding (set the delay to go to voicemail to 30 seconds)
2) Install Diamond Tweaks and re-enable the WM standard dialer under the Phone settings
I have tried this with no avail. Anyone who has experienced this and solved it would be much appreciated.

Mine would not let me connect after the first day, I HAD to get a plan to be able to connect to any WIFI.

Does anyone know how to adjust the phone so that the backlight stays on for longer than a few seconds when you use the phone. When I'm checking my voice mail I need to be able to use the on screen keyboard to delete or save my messages.

"Go here and install the Diamond tweak .cab. It has a lot of good settings adjustments and explanations of what they do. Oh, most of them work on the Raphael, since the interface is mostly the same."
Sorry I forgot to add the address: http://montecristoff.webs.com/
Some .cabs do some .cabs don't but browntannis is right , always soft reset after insalling new software.

I may have already posted this, if so forgive me. Randomly, the screen freezes on emails, pressing the envelope or inbox and email will not open, a soft reboot cures it for the time being. I have done a wipe, to no avail.
The HTC rep told me there might be a confict between my Outlook email (exchange server via activesync) and my pop account, so I deleted the pop account. Now I'll wait to see if it happens again. BYW, I on my second phone, as issue.
Has anyone experianced this?

By: Friday, 11:41 AM EST
"It is not AT&T will not support it because I am using it. It is only that HTC does not put it on their site. It is a windows 6.1 OS and the version I downloaded was for Windows 6.1. It works as advertised. you don't need to wait till 2009."
Actually, it is RIM that delivers the software to HTC to post on their site. RIM is still working on version for this device . While other versions may work, neither AT&T or HTC can provide in depth support (if it isn’t working right, you will get best effort support but no guarantee for a fix until the correct client has been released for the Fuze) it since it hasn’t been certified for use with this device. Also, Video Share Calling and BBC don’t work well together, they “fight” over the data connection (they each use a different APN) so if you want to use BBC, the best performance will be without Video Share Calling and of course, Activesync disabled (this uses a different APN too).

I have a Sprint HTC Touch Pro with a 8 gm card (straight out of the box without reformatting), and it says I have about 4000 pics at 3 megapixels. When I switch to main memory, I have about 500 pics.

Is a perfect case for the Fuze on the market? The cheap plastic one at the AT&T store doesn't fit, plus being so open in front, the touch screen can easitly be accidentally touched and start turning pages . . . I found what looks like a perfect one on the Sena site for $50; it's a leather flip case. But I would like to be able to get one locally in order to immediately use it. What is everyone else using for this model???

"Does it seem strange to anyone that when you set the phone on a flat surface, and use the keys or touchpad, the phone rocks back and forth. I guess the 'diamond' theme on the back of the case is worth this inconvenience. Also, this phone could do a better job of projecting sound from the back speaker when it's laying flat on the table - like the HTC/ATT 3125 I just replaced. Maybe I'll try one of these cases."
Amen!

Go here and read this, it is a great little guide for setting up your Fuze. I believe Advanced Config 3.3 has a setting for hiding sim contacts.

"does Fuze play AVI files?"
It is not the Fuze per se that plays the files, it is the video player. I don't believe that windows media player basically plays avi files. They will however play if you add the right codexes or media player, they will play. Google around a little.

I am syncing with Outlook and my reminders are constantly screwed up. They are changed from a specific timeframe to an all day event randomly. Also, it never tells me when I have a text message and the "flip" through email feature does not work for email messages or for text messages. Also, I get junk mail on my phone email inbox that does not come into my inbox on our exchange server. AT & T no help and HTC not responding to weeks of email for support.

AT&T can get you in touch with HTC Tech Support via phone; phone is better than email so they can work with you live instead of having to go back and forth in email.
Ok so for the flipping option, is this also not working in Photos and Albums or is it just not working in SMS and email? Are you sure that you are doing it right (I know, silly question but it is definitely something that you have to get the hang of)? What exactly happens when you try?
The junk mail is coming from somewhere and isnt something inherent to the device but rather your email service provider. If you are getting the junk email on your device but not your desktop, sounds like your junk filter is on your desktop not the server. If the filter is only set up on your machine, and the mail comes directly from the server to your device, it is bypassing the filter.

Hello, I've had my phone for a few days and It's hard to figure out. I wanted a good camera and something cool for music and a little txt'n. So I got the fuze from at&t. It took me 3 days to figure how to put a song as a ringtone. I don't use the phone for internet at all. Should I have bought a different phone? I was also wondering if the visualizations (swirling colors like on pc windows media) can be put on the fuze. I think I will like my phone if I ever fugure it out!!!!!! So if anyone has any thing they wanna share about this phone PLEASE let me know! THANK YOU!!!!!!

"hi thanks for the reply was wondering tho what phone you would recommend. The main reason I got this phone was for the camera, the touch screens definetly a cool perk. My little girls growing so fast wanted something that I had on me most of the time and could snap a good picture. unlike a new ferrari have 30 day to test drive this phone. LOL"
The camera in itself is good but it can be tricky to catch a quick pic since it has the auto focus that takes a few milliseconds to adjust. You can adjust the capture settings: While in the camera tap the screen to get your options. Tap on the Settings icon and then select Advanced. Select page 3 of 5 and tap shoot option.
This device is more than just a camera, it has a lot of features and options. I hate to say it but if you only want it for the camera, you can go with a less expensive device that has a camera.

2) The WIFI driver does not offer a place to enter the authentication userid/password/domain for WPA enterprise connections.
Anyone have any ideas?

Not sure about your BT other than you may need to update the stack on your PC??
There are a few areas for the WiFi Settings:
Some can be found under Wireless LAN (go to the settings tab from the today screen and select Settings>Wireless LAN.
Others can be found under Start>Settings>Connections Tab>WiFi. Here you tap on the one you want to connect to and you get s set up wizard where you put in the info for the network you would like to connect to.
