Tilt and Envy SD micro card problem Feb 8 2008, 6:20 PM EST My 8gb card was formated (By my Dad) in his envy which only supports 4gb cards. So now my 8gb SDHC card only reads as 4gb on my phone or windows. (Thanks Dad). How do I get it back to 8gb ??? 1 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Tilt and Envy SD micro card problem Feb 17 2008, 9:34 AM EST You can do better than that man... Like I said, The card only shows me 4gb that can be formatted. The other 4gb say unallocated and windows won't let me touch it. Now, is there a way to format the card IN the TILT ?? Not even partition magic will see the card so I can't use that. Any other softwares that may Help? I am open to all ideas. (Though I prefer Logical ones that have an outside chance of working) Lol 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

It Does not recognize the entire card since the format in the enV.. You see.. Laptop, Desktop. Unless you have some software ideas I am open to all ideas. It allows all greyed out options to be un-greyed. This then allows you to delete the partition through windows mangement and re-create the whole memory card as one partition ! Im so happy ! 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Tilt and Envy SD micro card problem Jul 16 2008, 11:19 AM EDT Yes i tried it and it worked !! I brought an 8GB mirco SD card from ebay and when i got it, it only had a 2GB partition. I suspect the guy i brought it from got it for his phone and the phone couldnt handle more than 2GB so formatted it that size. I was goin out my head as i couldnt get the rest of the card to work. I was formatting it and still it was 2GB. I then looked at the memory card in windows management but couldnt delete the partition. I searched high and low on so many forums but couldnt get a fix. Then i came across this tool by chance and it worked a treat. It highlighted the "delete partition" option so i could delete it and then it was 8GB of un-allocated space. Then right click and make a drive out of the whole 8GB and format it and there u go ! i had a whole 8GB card back again. Windows enabler saved my bacon !! try it ! it ungreys pretty much any option in windows so it will have a varied amount of uses ! just google "windows enabler" and your get it. i think it was made by some ozzy dude ! Do you find this valuable? |

I know many wont have access to a MAC but if you have then you can try that. I know Macs can pretty much over write anything so its maybe another avenue to try.... Do you find this valuable? |
