I am pleased to report that I have had NO SD Card corruption since changing the settings to assure that Windows LiveSearch did NOT use the SD Card for storage or having the program installed on it.
My guess there is an issue with Windows LiveSearch code in accessing the SD card.

Can I put the G-Sensor in my XV6900??? |

Well, i just bought the XV6900 from Verizon Wireless. I am horribly disapointed there isnt a game for the accelerometer use. I have come across that the Touch Pro allows this, due to the G-Sensor..... So what i want to know, could I install the G-Sensor into my XV6900???? I am good with hardware and software, seeing as I am going to ITT for Software Engineering. I need to know if there is a firmware flash that would make it capable, or not. And more simply, just install the G-Sensor in my handset.... IS THIS POSSIBLE!??!?!?!? SOMEBODY HELP! LOL
Thank You,

I just bought a US cellular HTC touch. and had already found the SPD Keyboard after reading messages here. I downloaded the SPD board this evening and installed it as suggested on this forum.
The install was a piece of cake and after linking the program to the camera button to turn it on it worked fine! Good product! thanks to the forum for the information.

I have found that you have to use .wav files and you need to put them in the general windows folder, that works for me, hope this helps!

Hey everyone,
so my keyboard is now stuck on numbers only. I am using the touch QWERTY and even if I change to ABC, abc, XT9....doesn't matter, it keeps typing numbers. Any help would be appreciated, I am sure it is something simple, so sorry if it is, but thanks for the help!

However, when I use vista and windows mobile device center, the process is very slow and I cannot sync my notes (contacts, tasks and calendar work).
Any solutions? Thanks in advance.

I am having a problem with Voice Commander. I upgraded from a PP 6700 that ran WM5 and Commander 1.6 with no problem. Now with the Touch from Verizon Commander will not send calls to the phone. I tell it who to call and it confirms the name and then goes dead. It also will not announce incoming calls or upcomming appointments. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have already turned off the intenal voice dialer program.

Thread started: Jul 15 2008, 4:44 PM EDT Watch
My boyfriend just got an XV6900 and I have to pretend he doesn't have verizon when I send him text messages. VZW in-network texting has always been >160 characters and I could add things, but I can't when sending texts to him. I can't even type a smilie (i.e. :-D) without getting a message saying he can't receive the text.
Is there a modification he can install on his phone so I can continue sending him texts like I always have?
Thanks!

Is there any software available for speaker independent voice dialing? (recording voice tags for contacts seems tedious and antiquated). Current setup using tags is much more frustrating ... if you do not speak exactly as you did when you recorded the tag, the phone will not recognize your command

"how do i install and run programs from my micro sd card? htc website says it can be done but the manual does say how to."
That depends on the applications. If it is a .cab file, just download and save it Device>Storage card (or save it to the device via your PC) then tap on the file on your device to install. Some applications have to be run on your PC to be installed on your device.

Is there a way to get notification reminders for when you don't hear your original message or text? On previous phones, i was always able to set up a reminder alert to beep every 2 mintues or so in case I didn't hear the phone when a new message came in.
Thanks,

I have used it on my Treo and now the XV6900 and no wierdness noticed. I recommend it. it will offer some of the same shortcuts that the HTC today plug-in has, but it will offer many more you might like. Go to their site and take a look at the app.

At this point the best thing for you to do is a forum search on Touch Flo, Touch Flo Cube, HTC Home Customizer, Spb Shell, read all the posts, follow all the links. Spend the weekend and feel out everything that is out there , and there is a ton of stuff. Go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=336013. search and read read read then when our ready to decide, if you still have questions and need help come on back and someone will gladly offer advise. Good luck and good reading.
