El primer buque insignia de doble núcleo de HTC: Snapdragon S3 MSM8260 a 1,2 GHz, 768 MB de RAM, Super LCD qHD de 4,3" 960×540 con cristal curvo, 8 MP con LED doble y 1080p, frontal de 1,3 MP (la primera en un buque insignia GSM de HTC), unibody de aluminio y Android 2.3 con Sense 3.0 (carrusel 3D, pantalla de bloqueo con accesos directos) → 4.0. T-Mobile Sensation 4G (EE. UU., HSPA+). El Sensation XE (octubre de 2011) llevaba 1,5 GHz, Beats Audio, detalles rojos, auriculares Beats incluidos y 1730 mAh. El Sensation XL tenía WVGA de 4,7" de un solo núcleo y Beats Solo. El Sensation 4G fue el último HTC «grueso» con batería de 1520 mAh.

The HTC Sensation is a smartphone designed and manufactured by HTC Corporation that runs the Android 2.3 Gingerbread software stock. Officially announced by HTC on April 12, 2011, the HTC Sensation was launched by Vodafone in key European markets including the United Kingdom on May 19, 2011 and by T-Mobile in the United States on June 12, 2011. It was HTC's fifth flagship Android phone and the first HTC phone to support the HTC Sense 3.0 user interface. At the time of its release, the Sensation XE was the world's fastest Android phone.
