Announced on May 11, 2021 at ViveCon, on sale from June 4, 2021: the headset for $799 (an upgrade for Pro owners) or the full kit for $1,399 with 2.0 base stations and controllers. The highest resolution of any consumer headset at launch: two LCDs at 2448×2448 (5K, 4896×2448 combined), 120 Hz, a 120° field of view (dual-stack lenses) and RGB subpixels. To transmit 5K at 120 Hz it uses Display Stream Compression over DisplayPort 1.2 (requiring a GTX 1060/RTX 20xx or newer graphics card); older cards get a reduced-resolution mode. The same body as the Pro: Hi-Res headphones, adjustable IPD of 57–72 mm, two cameras, compatibility with Lighthouse 1.0/2.0, the Wireless Adapter (with limitations) and the Vive Facial Tracker. Weight 850 g. HTC's main PC VR headset for sim racing, VRChat and professionals until the Focus Vision arrived.
