i recently got htc 2125. for some reason tip of the audio jack was left inside - i men the 1 mm part that top thing. I sent the phone for repair to HTC and they called me and gave me an estimate of 129$ - hahahahah. they even don't bother to look around the internet and see that new sealed unlocked is available for 80-100 $. Keep in mind that i still have the warranty. DON'T YOU THINK THAT HTC SUCKS? 2  out of 6 found this valuable. Do you?

I undersand your frustration...How do you possibly still have a warranty on this device? It was released well over 2 years ago and even with the extra 3 months that they allow (giving you a total of 15 months for the warranty period), I would think that you are outside of the warranty period.
Also, the warranty does not cover Physiccal or Liquid damage. The audio jack coming apart and being lodged in the device wouldnt be covered under the warranty...Why would HTC care what the device is being offered for online? You didnt call them for a replacement, you called them to have your device serviced and they advidsed you the cost of a repair.

Hi, I own a universal.

HTC sucks - poor support. No upgrades. My N73 cost me about $200 and nokia still upgrades that phone. why not the $500+ universal? - because they suck.

What sort of "upgrades" are you expecting? Device-specific updates are normally provided by your carrier, since there are typically a number of things that are carrier-specific.

i was expecting that their specialist will simply open it, and remove (bring out) that small tiny piece from the jack place. As I mentioned that the cost of new set is 89$, so i was expecting that they will only charge me 20-40 bucks for it, as the phone was working 100%. any ways - I still believe that HTC sucks. I know the response to this post would be very hard and logical, supported by some analogies. 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

What gets me more than anything is that HTC brought to market a series of phones that continually miss calls, and they do nothing to acknowledge or address this problem. There are discussions on this wiki about the problem (http://htcwiki.com/page/Qtek+8500+Problems+%2F+Support), and it also affects other HTC phones, but HTC won't even respond to an email requesting guidance on how to fix this know issue. I guess that would be tantamount to admitting liability for marketing a substandard product. I will NEVER, NEVER buy another HTC phone. Flawed products and completely non-existent customer service. A nightmare of a company. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?
