May 23, 2018. HTC's last true flagship: a 6.0" QHD+ 18:9 Super LCD6 with Gorilla Glass 3 (an odd choice), a Snapdragon 845, 6 GB of RAM, 64/128 GB plus microSD, and IP68. A dual camera: a 12 MP UltraPixel 4 (1.4 µm, f/1.75, OIS, Dual Pixel) plus a 16 MP 2× telephoto (f/2.6) with optical zoom and bokeh; it scored 103 on DxOMark (second place at launch). A dual 8+8 MP front camera. Edge Sense 2: squeezing the edges plus detection of the holding hand and a double tap on the edges (one-handed mode). BoomSound Hi-Fi, USonic ANC, 4 microphones, a 3500 mAh battery, Quick Charge 4+, and colors Translucent Blue (translucent), Ceramic Black and Flame Red. Its main mistake was touch-sensitive (not mechanical) volume and power buttons with haptic feedback: a storm of criticism followed, and a firmware patch eased the problem. Android 8.0 → 9.0. $799. The regular U12 never came out; in the US it was sold only unlocked via htc.com and Amazon.
