Verizon, March 17, 2011. Verizon's first LTE smartphone (and one of the first in the world): a 4.3" WVGA Super LCD, a Snapdragon MSM8655 at 1 GHz, 768 MB of RAM, 8 GB plus a 32 GB microSD, an 8 MP camera with dual LED, a 1.3 MP front camera, a kickstand, and simultaneous voice and data. Android 2.2 → 4.0 (ICS arrived a year and a half after it was promised). Famous for catastrophically poor battery life (1400 mAh on LTE) and reboots, which forced Verizon to release an extended battery.
