MWC, March 1, 2015 (on the same day as the Vive announcement), on sale from April. The design almost repeats the M8 with a "two-tone" finish (silver with a gold frame), a 5.0" 1080p Super LCD3, a 2.0 GHz Snapdragon 810 (notorious for overheating and throttling), 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB plus microSD up to 2 TB, a 20 MP Toshiba f/2.2 main camera without OIS (which disappointed reviewers), a 4 MP UltraPixel front camera, BoomSound with Dolby Audio, Sense 7 with themes and a location widget, a 2840 mAh battery, Quick Charge 2.0 and a weight of 157 g. Android 5.0 → 7.0 Nougat. Sales collapsed, HTC wrote off over $100 million in inventory and reported huge losses for the first time. Variants: the One M9+ (5.2" QHD, MediaTek Helio X10, Duo Camera, fingerprint scanner; Asia), the One M9+ Supreme Camera Edition (21 MP with laser AF and OIS), the One ME (a plastic M9+), the One M9s (Helio X10, 13 MP), and the One E9/E9+ (plastic, 5.5", MediaTek).
