No. The device isnt limited to TMO Hot Spots. I use mine with my home WiFi just fine.

how do you get wifi to work? i've tried all sorts of possiblities with the authentification and encryption blah blah but i still can't manage to connect to wifi at home. i'm using a zoom x6 router... authentification is open and there is no need for a network key... why isn't it working?
