HTC's own brand for selling Windows Mobile devices in Europe through the distributor Brightstar Europe, back when HTC did not yet make devices under its own name. Qtek models were "clean" versions of the same devices that carriers sold as the O2 XDA or T-Mobile MDA, without carrier firmware or lock-in. The lineup: Qtek 1010 (Wallaby), 2020 (Himalaya), 9090 (Blue Angel), S100 (Magician), S110, 9000 (Universal), 9100 (Wizard), 8010/8020 (Typhoon/Sonata), 8100 (Amadeus), 8300/8310 (Tornado), 8500 (StarTrek), 8600 (Breeze), S200 (Prophet), 9600 (Hermes) and G100 (Artemis). In June 2006 HTC announced a switch to its own brand, and Qtek was wound down by the end of the year: the Qtek 9600 was the last model, sold at the same time as the HTC TyTN.
