Text Messaging Issues on HTC Touch 6900 series US Cellular

Is anyone else having a problem when sending text messages using window's mobile 6.1 which causes the recipiant of the text to get a jumbled text message?

The text's look like this...

H@e@l@l@o@ H@o@w@ a@r@e@ y@o@u@
