Has anybody tried a 4gb microsd card in the t-mobile wing? Before I buy one I want to maximize the storage capacity.

Not only the 4gb card works: the 6gb does too! I've been using one from SanDisk for almost a month now and works like a champ!

If you can get it at that prize, that's a very good deal.
I got mine from supermediastore.com for 89.99 :-(

According to SanDisk, it may work. This is a newly announced product, so I can't be sure.

I have an 8GB MicroSDHC card in my Wing, it works very well. I am currently using 5GB of the SD card's free space. I purchased the card online for $66 (+ $10 shipping) On ebay, awesome deal, while it was definitely not used I certainly wonder if what I purchased was a five finger discount...

Also if a Micro SD card isn't being recognized, format it first on your computer, and if that still doesn't work, try it in other devices to isolate whether it is the card or your device that is problematic. If its the phone, you could try backing everything up and doing a master reset, if that were to fix it, you'd know it was something you had set, or a driver issue. If it did not, then it may be a hardware issue with the card reader itself.

Actually, moving applications installed to a card is pretty easy. For example, I installed my GPS application, iGuidance V2 onto my card. I had to do a hard reset on my Tilt today because of something I installed kind of made my phone act screwy. But since I installed iGuidance to my storage card, you can easily make it work from the Start\Programs menu again. Here's how I do it:

1. Goto the storage card and goto the folder called Program Files
2. Pick the folder for an application that you installed to the card
3. In the folder, look for the icon that you normally see in your Start\Programs
4. Copy that file.
5. Goto My Device\Windows\Start Menu\Program
6. Copy that file here

Now that application is back in you Start\Programs. All you're doing basically is putting the executable file on your device.

I coughed up the $14 bucks at pocketgear for the pocket mechanic pro. Great little tool..does exactly what your talking bout. It's all good, but I kinda meant, "have both 4gb cards with me and just swap them as needed." Being as I have lots of programs, pointui's Home, pocket mechanic, the overclocking software etc..all installed or moved to the memory card to free up device memory, taking my card out would be suicide....but thanks for the tips..
I am still looking for someone to tell me how to make blackberry connect work on my wing...I know it works on your tilt..but I have yet to sort something..any help.?

I would be alittle caution not just for the phone, but since those MicroSD card are costly. Reason being i purchased one and some of the files became corrupted unable to use and delete but still able to use the card. I tossed my card away.
