cannot connect to wifi

hi! i bought my HTC 6900 but i don´t live in us and all the apps work great! but i have this problem: i can´t connect to my wireless network whenever i try my smartphone sets it as unavailable and i´m right next to it!
I have a belkin router
So if anyone can help me it´d be great! thanks!
