HTC Touch Diamond Voice command

Has anyone found a way to change the rediculous robotic voice used in the command? It's barely understandable. Sounds like something from the '70s

I would like to know this too... perhaps Krusty the Clown or other voice would be great to announce all of the incoming explicit spam we get.

Microsoft has several "voices" available when you use text to speech in Windows, but each voice requires large synth. audio files to support them. On a PC where you have plenty of storage space and RAM it's not a problem, on a mobile device the overhead of several available voices would make the program much larger. MS could offer different versions of VC each with a different voice, but I would rather they debug the VC program before they start with enhancements. Currently they have a bug in VC that interferes with the bluetooth stack on the Fuze and TouchPro. They just came out with a updated ROM for the Fuze which is suppose to fix the problem, but it just came out yesterday and we haven't had any feedback whether it works or not.
