I have google maps on my HTC diamond. I wonder if i can run GPS without internet connection.

The real GPS don't need net to work. Only some devices they have A-gps they use internet to find your position.
So if you have a real navigation program with maps of your area, you don't need anything else.

Bluetooth function to earpiece and stereo headphones do not have performance that my 6700 and other phones have. My headset is noisy between left ear and left belt loop case. I tried another unit at Sprint store and same results. Has anyone else noticed this?

"yeah bluetooth quality is terrible!! i even called htc about the issues and they said they can't do anything about it... i am using motorola's h700 headset which htc claims to fully support.when paired with my motorola q i could be at least 10 ft away and have crystal clear reception. the diamond loses quality when more than a foot away. in addition bluetooth disconnects when running applications such as sprint tv and navigation which work seemlessly with q..."
Me too. But, my HT820 doesn't seem to have the problem, yet. Hopefully if may write replies HTC will fix the issue. So far I have had 3 HTC 6800's, three 6900 Touch's, and now this one, the Diamond. Although it looks cool, it is having THE SAME PROBLEMS as the other HTCs. I have performed the firmware upgrades, and tried to tollerate the issues, but this is getting old. My Samsung phones worked better. Also, another quirk, the ringer just turns off whenever it wants too.

Hello,
First off hi to everyone here, just joined up.. My question's pretty much what it says in the subject. I bought a htc touch diamond recently and am wondering whether it is possible to sync it with my contacts. I have vista and microsoft office but for some reason dont have outlook or outlook express. It would be quite annoying if i had to get outlook just to be able to sync my contacts and mails.
If anyone could shed some light on this matter for me (i have googled endlessly to no avail) or point me in the right direction of what to do I would greatly appreciate it.

I have the same problem with my Samsung Omnia (cannot synchronize contacts with windows mail in vista). Has anybody found the solution? If not, is there a way to download Outlook Express for free (I know that I can synchronize with Outlook Express)?

Hi guys,
I've been having problems with my music gallery, the album art in not visible even though i sync the musics from my media player to my phone. i tried making a folder in the storage device and changed the file format for the art as .jpg but im still having the same issue.
same goes with the bang (!) i cant get if off my screen, and as of now i have one mp3 that i cant remove out of MUSIC folder.
im all ears! thanks in advance

"Correct me if i'm wrong.
Goto Amazon
Drag the picture onto your desktop
rename the picture to the name of the album or artist ie. from &34s.jpg to Road2Eden.jpg
Put the newly renamed jpg into the folder where you want the jpg to appear. ie. road2eden.jpg inside the eagles folder or the subfolder where road2eden music are located on your device. Hope this helps"
correction to my previous post.
rename the image from Amazon to Folder.jpg (the name is folder for every image you have to create. Just put the right image to the right folder.) like two Anonymous above me stated and put the image in the folder of the music. Then go to the library and select your song. It'll take several trys but it 'll finally work. I tried it on mine and was able to get it to work.

Hi There,
I live in South Africa and i recently bought an HTC Touch Diamond from the states.
The phone works fine but it just reboots sometimes with absolutely no warning! I've tried soft and hard resets but nothing seems to stop the rebooting!
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Anyway. It could be that your Sprint backup software is set to backup the device continually. It then reboots after each backup. Maybe you should disable backups on the Sprint software."
Hi, thanks for your response.
I think the problem i have may lie elsewhere as i did not have sprite installed on my phone. I also did update to the latest ROOM image and the problem still persists,
Any other ideas?

Hi, I have some unusual colours being displayed on right hand corner of the screen. I have even tried to reset the phone but stil these unusual rainbow colours are present.May I know how to get this resolved. Thank You.

Hi. I just got my new diamond from USA (unlocked ). I have noticed that the time shown when receive text messages is always 15 hours ahead. The same happens when I syn my outlook with the phone... i.e if I set appoitment to 9 am, it sets it as outlook time/date plus 15 hours. All the setting on the phone clock are ok and it shows the correct time, and I just dont find a way to solve this problem. Can anyone with same issue help me?

I sent my diamond to repair center on monday. Hopefully I will get a reply from them soon.
