HTC S710 is showing provider code instead of Provider name

I am using HTC S710. and am stying in India. 40446 is showing instead of BPL Mobile Kerala - India. that was changed to Hutch and after that again changed to Vodafone.

can any one tell me why is this and how can i show the Provider name Do you find this valuable?
