Issue with loading web pages and receiving calls at the same time...

Whenever I am sending/receiving imap/pop email or a web page is loading and someone is calling me at the same time, the call doesn't appear on the screen and doesn't show up as a missed call. Unless they leave a voicemail, I have no knowledge that they called. Does anyone else have this problem or know why its happening?
