Hi I'm wondering if there is enough of us HTC users to get the Lemon Law to work for us. I have searched the internet extensively and have discovered tens of thousands of post concerning the Wi-Fi not working. In addition I am unable to find a single solution on the internet, from Sprint, from HTC at all.

    What are your thoughts?

AnnArborgg Mogul 6800 wifi connection problem 0 Feb 14 2009, 10:34 PM EST by AnnArborgg

Wifi will not connect to a wifi router.

These are the steps I take to setup the Wi-Fi:
Start>Settings>Connections(tab)>Connections(icon)>Advanced>Select Network>......and here's where I think the problem resides. In the top drop down menu the first option “Sprint” is the default. Even after I select “My Work Network” it will revert back to “Sprint”. To continue, select “My Work Network” from the pull down menue>Edit>Proxy Settings>....and check off (select) the square box “This network connects to the Internet”, then select “ok” and you're done.

After I change the wi-fi parameter settings I go to: Start>Settings>Connections(tab)>Wi-Fi(icon). And either nothing happens or it will find my Wi-Fi router. If it finds my Wi_Fi router I attempt to connect to it. But what happens is it will stop trying to connect and say “not available”. So how do I get my Wi-Fi to work.

I have tried many other combinations of Wi-Fi parameter setting to no avail.

I have to date done the following in attempt to get the Wi-Fi to work with no success:
    1) soft reset
    2) hard reset
    3) erased the memory
    4) verified that "Active Profile" is set to 1
    5) tested connectivity to multiple wifi routers
    6) read the get started manual
    7) read the user manual
    8) spoke to sprint tech service dept
    9) received email from HTC telling me to "FLASH THE ROM"

Sprint is giving me another phone for FREE, this will be my second phone; I have insurance on my phone.

I bought this phone for one the major reason of "ENJOYING" the feature of wifi......grrrrr

Dear friends, does any one have a solution to my problem of the wifi not working?

    How to:
To access the back door of your phone do the following: from the phone pad enter the MSL CODE:##3282#. Another back door access code is ##778#
