Has anyone noticed that the ringtones play at a lower volume than the same file played through windows meda player. On my Cingular 3125 there is a huge difference in volume level between the two methods. As a ringtone the volume is a bit low, and quite hard to hear sometimes. As compared to playing thru windows media player where it is so loud the sound is distorting! 4  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

Make sure you have set the ring volume to Loud. Go to Start>Settings>Profiles and highlight the profile you wish to change (DO NOT SELECT IT). Then press Menu>Edit and set the Ring Volume for Loud. Took me a while to find this. You would think it would be in the Sounds settings, but it in the Profiles settings. 17  out of 19 found this valuable. Do you?

I have mine set on loud and found that it is still pretty quiet, compared to other phones. Very hard to hear with any ambient noise. Anyone know of a mod for this? 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

well around ambition noises its basically hard to hear any phone, thats why you have vibrate : ) 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I know this is an older post, but I recently had the problem lately on the HTC diamond where the volume was almost inaudible in a complete silent room.

It seems as though SPB Mobile Shell's profile volume is separate from WM's volume, so if you are having this problem you could try downloading the mobile shell demo and change it through the profile tab in the carousel. Hope this helps. Do you find this valuable?
