if you're only running 1 program at a time accessing the gps, use com5 9600., or just have it 'auto find' the gps (if that option is avial).its strange i've had some software find it on com4, others on com5. if you want to run more than 1 gps app at the same time, see http://www.x7501.com/forum/X7501-GPS-Issues-1184315093-9.html#9 |

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=375959&page=14I use Telenav and Google Maps on my HTC X7501 Advantage. ATT 3G Network. Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA After reloading both apps they would not find any satellites. So I reset the External GPS to.... My personal settings: Start > Settings > System tab > External GPS I set Programs to Com 5 Hardware to Com 4 with a baud rate of 38400. I have tried several baud settings without much variation in speed. But this seems to work best. Telenav locks quickly 1-4 minutes depending on signal strength. Googlemaps Menu > Options . GPS settings > Set by Windows. Google maps Locks with 5-11 satellites within 90 seconds after the initial map appears. (Need to tell it to "use GPS") If anyone has any suggestions on improving my results. Please email me. [email protected] |
