HTC s621 HELP!!!!

So on my s621 when i text everything works except the keys with numbers on them. Instead of coming out at the letter on the key, it comes out as if it wasa regular phone. For example. the 2-button/ W doesn't type a w but an a, b, c, or 2. How do i get rid of this????? Do you find this valuable?
