Go to Start>Settings>Sounds&Notifications>Notifications Tab>Event (pulldown) - pull down to "Messaging:MMS Sent" and uncheck the box for "Play Sound", then pull down to Messaging: Sending MMS and uncheck the box for "Play Sound".

You can't do it through sounds and notification. You need to tweak the registry. The easiest way is to download Advanced Config. and go to the messaging settings. It has a setting to turn off text notification. It is the best tweaking tool for Windows Mobile.

Sorry for the Bad Info. Den thanks for catching my mistake. I thought you could do it thru Sounds & Notifications, but I just tried it on my Tilt and you are right - it doesn't work. I just went thru the opposite problem on my Fuze. I wanted to hear the "att dink" noise when I sent a text and by default it is disabled on the Fuze. I downloaded Advanced Configuration 3.3 to my Fuze and it worked great. To use AC3.3 you need to also download and install Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 3.5. Both the Fuze and Tilt come with .NET Compact Framework 2.0 installed and AC3.3 needs NCF 3.5 to work. AC3.3 works well on Fuze and Tilt, but if you use it on the Tilt be careful not to change the settings for HTC TouchFlo 3D since that is on the Fuze and not on the Tilt. If you change those settings, it will send you into the "weeds". If you use AC3.2 for the Tilt it omits the TouchFlo section. Both versions are available.

If you don't want to use AC3.2 or 3.3. If you are VERY confident in your ability to edit the registry, go to: HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\SMSNoSentMSG and change the DWORD value from 0 to 1 to turn off the "att dink" sound. DON'T DO THIS UNLESS YOU ARE EXPERIENCED AT REGISTRY EDITS - YOU CAN "BRICK" YOUR PHONE IF YOU MAKE A MISTAKE.

Check my post #8 and #9 on this site at: http://htcwiki.com/thread/2075841/Screen+Goes+Dark
When you download the .CAB file for Advanced Config 3.3. transfer that to your device using ActiveSync. You can store it in a file on your storage card so you don't use device memory. Go to the device and use File Explorer to find the CAB file on the storage card and tap on it to execute it. Make sure you install .NET Compact Framework 3.5 before you install AC3.3
