Verizon touch and missed calls while "sleeping"

My problem is that when the phone backlight is off, all calls are not going through to phone. When i turn it on, all the calls and text messages are passed through at the same time.I see others have had this problem. Does anyone know if the windows upgrade 6.1 from Verizon fixes this problem? Or is it time to get rid of this phone for a blackberry or omnia? Thanks -David Do you find this valuable?

i heard by doing soft reset from time to time, it fixes that problem.

Same problem here I so far have done two things that has helped turned off the auto weather check and turned off the quick menu....not sure which one did the trick but I am happy with 24 hours of no reboots while sleeping.....not sure who to blame HTC or Windoes....
