i recently got htc 2125. for some reason tip of the audio jack was left inside - i men the 1 mm part that top thing. I sent the phone for repair to HTC and they called me and gave me an estimate of 129$ - hahahahah. they even don't bother to look around the internet and see that new sealed unlocked is available for 80-100 $. Keep in mind that i still have the warranty. DON'T YOU THINK THAT HTC SUCKS? 5  out of 10 found this valuable. Do you?

I undersand your frustration...How do you possibly still have a warranty on this device? It was released well over 2 years ago and even with the extra 3 months that they allow (giving you a total of 15 months for the warranty period), I would think that you are outside of the warranty period.
Also, the warranty does not cover Physiccal or Liquid damage. The audio jack coming apart and being lodged in the device wouldnt be covered under the warranty...Why would HTC care what the device is being offered for online? You didnt call them for a replacement, you called them to have your device serviced and they advidsed you the cost of a repair.

Hi, I own a universal.

HTC sucks - poor support. No upgrades. My N73 cost me about $200 and nokia still upgrades that phone. why not the $500+ universal? - because they suck.

What sort of "upgrades" are you expecting? Device-specific updates are normally provided by your carrier, since there are typically a number of things that are carrier-specific.

i was expecting that their specialist will simply open it, and remove (bring out) that small tiny piece from the jack place. As I mentioned that the cost of new set is 89$, so i was expecting that they will only charge me 20-40 bucks for it, as the phone was working 100%. any ways - I still believe that HTC sucks. I know the response to this post would be very hard and logical, supported by some analogies. 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

What gets me more than anything is that HTC brought to market a series of phones that continually miss calls, and they do nothing to acknowledge or address this problem. There are discussions on this wiki about the problem (http://htcwiki.com/page/Qtek+8500+Problems+%2F+Support), and it also affects other HTC phones, but HTC won't even respond to an email requesting guidance on how to fix this know issue. I guess that would be tantamount to admitting liability for marketing a substandard product. I will NEVER, NEVER buy another HTC phone. Flawed products and completely non-existent customer service. A nightmare of a company. 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

I bought the HTC touch and it froze a lot. It froze that often that it eventually did not turn on any more. I sent the phone back under warranty to the repair centre. After 30 emails and more phone calls etc and 4 months worth of waiting they have today told me they will not be returning the phone to me as they seem to have lost it.They have also written to me and said that they have not lost it but as i can not proove that I sent it to them ( despite a HTC employee confirming they had the phone) they will not be sending my phone or any replacement back to me.DO NOT BUY ANY PRODUCT FROM HTC. THEIR PRODUCTS ARE UNRELIABLE AND THEIR BACK UP SERVICE IS EVEN WORSE. Do you find this valuable?

This happened in Singapore..Ibought the Cruize and use it after a couple of weeks of storage. The screen went blank after 3 days...service centre says it take a week to fix. A week passed and the status is unknown. The service centre says they will call to update me..it never happen. I called their 1800 number to check the status and was told that they need to check and get back to me - again it never happen. I call again the following day and the response was the same. I refused to accept the answer and press for more info on how they run their service centre - to my horror, their call centre says they do not have direct phone contact with the service centre or rather they don't have a direct phone contact to the service centre and they only communicate thru email and there is no way that I can call the service centre other than going there personally to check..unbelievable. They don't have a sales office (or they refuse to provide the info?) only a tel no to the distribution centre which does not take calls..what can I say...HTC SUCKS big time! Some insider info from the plant - HTC buys their parts based on the cheapest quotes from their suppliers - quality not the main criteria.... 4  out of 5 found this valuable. Do you?

What the hell is wrong with your service on New Delhi? I tried to use my HTC touch headphones 3 months after purchasing them and they didn't work right out of the box. Then it was a god damn pain to locate the service center. I found it out with much difficulty and it was with some affiliate company. They've been telling me since two weeks that HTC doesn't have stock so we can't get your headphones, please wait.

What the hell is wrong with you HTC? Pfft. If this is your third rate after sales service, I'm going to tell everybody how much you suck. Being someone consulted a lot by a lot of colleagues at work for cellphones, I can only say you're going to loose on a lot of potential customers. Fix up you're third rate after sales service in Delhi, you suckers.

Why HTC Touch sucks:

1. Slow even with 128MB ROM
2. Tiny buttons
3. Slow camera. Cant believe they put in a 'burst' mode, when it cant take a single pic properly.
4. No upgrades
5. The basic use case - Making a phone call - just plain sucks. The phone dialer app is slow, retrieving contacts is slow. Saving a number is a pain in the butt.
6. Bad earphones. Mine died and replacements cost Rs 600! Too much for a low-quality earphone.

I'm extracting some bearable performance from the Touch only after extensive tweaking, fiddling with various registry options.

7. Also it has a very poor performance transciever. It show very few "bars" or none at all when other phones dont have a problem. Do you find this valuable?

On the fateful day approx 3 months back, I purchsed a HTC Diamond for USD 560.00. The list of faults seem to be endless. Few of the are here for you readers:

1.The battery is extremely poor. And I have to keep the mobile connected to the charger continuously.
2.The camera is very slow and bad in video mode. Though the space is enough for recording long shoots but the battery drains down within few minutes, it cannot record fast moving objects.
3.Quality of the earphones is not upto the mark. The jacks tend to break.
4.HTC boasts about the GPS availability, but even after 3 months of using the phone and breaking my head in websites and blogs, still have not been able to either download the maps, or use the GPS navigation. Though people have been suggesting about downloading google maps/ tom tom 6/ mapking etc, but no one have been able to provide the correct links for downloading the maps- GPRS is available. I want maps for Delhi, India.
5.No provision for external card.
6.Now coming to the service parameters, HTC have come out with good looking smart phones but with dumb service personnel to assist the customers. The service executives are not equipped with the know-how and are not aware of the product. I come from Delhi, India.

Every time you go the official website/ or call the customer care centre, every time they ask for the IMEI no of the phone/ the phone number and many more details that are absolutely not required.

The SMART phone with MORONS to handle the services.

HTC Diamond SUCKS.
PLEASE HELP ME GET OUT OF THE PROBLEMS I HAVE BEEN FACING FOR 3 MONTHS....

Sincere thanks in advance to all those who can help me.
