Can't re-establish Active Sync Partnership for HTC Mogul wm6 on my PC Dec 14 2007, 1:00 PM EST I NEED YOUR HELP!!! I just purchased a Qwest HTC Mogul a week ago and the first time I installed the Activesync software my PC (Windows XP) and PPC synced right up. However after 3 days for some reason it stops syncing. So I uninstalled Active sync from my computer and reinstalled and returned my Mogul back to the manufacture defaults. Now my problem is how do I get back to the Synchronization Setup Wizard to create a synchronization partnership? When my PPC is connected I can see by the Activesync and my PPC trying to communicate with each other but I don't have that partnership (My Documents Folder) as I once had. How do I create another folder (partnership) so that my PC and PPC can connect to each other again? Many Thanks in Advance!! Cheryl 6 out of 6 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Can't re-establish Active Sync Partnership for HTC Mogul wm6 on my PC Dec 17 2007, 2:38 PM EST The easiest way I have found is to not remove the program, just go in activesync on your computer and go to file, delete mmobile device. Then next time you connect, be sure to have your connection settings set to open activesync upon connection and then it will ask you how you want it set up, which items you want to sync. alnhowe 2 out of 4 found this valuable. RE: Can't re-establish Active Sync Partnership for HTC Mogul wm6 on my PC Dec 17 2007, 10:53 PM EST In the future, just run:C:\Documents and Settings\Your_NAME\Application Data\Microsoft\ActiveSync\Profiles\WM_YourDevice_name then delete the sdf file. You will lose any data that was placed into the phone between syncs. 1 out of 5 found this valuable. Do you? |

I'd like to download the upgrade that enables the GPS and several other improvements but they say you must back-up your data because the upgrade will loose everything (all contact, calendar, tasks etc) Do you find this valuable? |

That's a problem, of course, because Vista doesn't USE ActiveSync; it only uses Windows Mobile Device Center. Are there any other ideas out there? Thanks! M Do you find this valuable? |
