Set Up Email on My 2125

Follow the steps below to set up POP3- or IMAP4-based email on your Cingular 2125:

    1. Start > Messaging > Outlook E-mail
    2. Menu > Options > New Account
    3. Enter your name and email address and press Next
    4. Let the Automatic setup obtain settings from the Internet and press Next
    5. Enter User name, Password, check the Save password box and press Next
      • Most ISPs do not require that a Domain be entered
    6. Select the Server type (POP3 or IMAP4), choose an Account name, select the Network and press Next
      • The Network should typically be set to The Internet
    7. Enter the Incoming server, check the Require SSL connection if necessary, enter the Outgoing server and press Next
      • Check with your ISP if you are unsure of these settings
    8. Choose the amount of previous email to retrieve, the amount of each message and press Next
    9. Specify how often the device automatically checks for messages and press Next
    10. Select Finish to complete the email setup

anyone know how to do do this or if it is possible? i have a 1gb card and would prefer it to store all my attachments rather than the paltry default 20meg limit of the handset. anyone know how to tell the mail app to do this?

I have tried these setup procedures, however when I try to do a send/receive, the phone gets stuck in Connecting... mode until it times out. I have tried this with both my Comcast email account and Gmail.

I double checked the configuration of the email against Outlook express on my desktop, and all seems correct.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?
