Is there a plan for an ATT FUZE ROM Update. I seem to be soft reseting my FUZE a lot and dont want to hard reset unless there is a ROM update to go along with it.

Conflicting information says that, there definitely will be a 6.1 update for the Fuze and possibly a 6.5 update, but no definite word or timeline on either.

RE: Changing View of SMS On HTC Fuze

If you want to disable text message threading on the Fuze you can do it using a program called Advanced Configuration 3.3. It allows 200 different tweaks of the Fuze and many other Windows Mobile devices. One of the many tweaks is turning off message threading. To get details on loading and using AC3.3. Check my Post #9 at: http://htcwiki.com/thread/2075841/Screen+Goes+Dark (on this site). If you read my Post #8 on the same thread, it will explain why you need to also download and install Microsoft .NET Compact Framework 3.5. and it will direct you to the site where the author of AC3.3 explains everything it will do. When you have AC3.3 on your device it will let you control many of the things that HTC didn't make available to the user.

"hey is there anyway I can do this w/o downgrading to version 6.0...I had 6.1 installed on my Tilt & didn't have this problem.."
LOL, did you read the post? I wasn't suggesting that you downgrade to 6.0 I gave links for Advanced Configuration, which among many other great tweaks, has a setting to shut off threaded messages.

Removing TouchFlo 3D from an HTC Fuze on AT&T. |

Perhaps this is a herasy here, but there are several "quirks" to the shell that are driving me up a wall. Sure there are a number of neat features to TouchFlo, but they are not worth the level of annoyed it makes me.
Thanks!

"This is the one that I am currently using on my Tilt, fast and stable. I use the Full version with M2D during the week, still haven't tweaked MS 3.0 to my liking yet. On the weekend I flash the lite version to test out 3.0. On the weekend I don't care if my phone freezes or crashes while I am testing things.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=428261
Hard to tell exactly what the battery drain is, as my battery is pretty old and I don't know how much is 3.0 and how much is old battery.
6.5 Titanium/Chome interface is nice, very finger friendly and is already being tweaked and skinned like crazy. With the right tweaking and theme it is pretty enjoyable to use. But still way too many button presses to get where / what you want. Same with MS 3.0 , the wow factor buries Titanium, and the ability to customize is way better than 6.5, but still, way too many buttons to navigate. I still love the simplicity and ease of Touch Flo.
"
I know what you mean about the battery drain. My Tilt has the original battery and it could be why I'm seeing shorter battery life per charge. I'm sure MS3.0 has a fair amount of overhead though since it's so graphics intensive. I have been customizing the interface for a week and have it pretty close to the way I like it. I put most of the widgits I use often in the "Lifestyle Home" window of the Carousel. The phone wakes up in Professional Home, then it's one flick to get to the Lifestyle Home pages then a flick left or right to get to the side Lifestyle Home pages. Those three pages hold most of the app launchers that I need. One of the nice features in 3.0 is backing up the interface settings, so you don't have to reset them by hand when you flash or hard reset.

Need to downgrade HTC Fuze from Windows 6.1 to Windows 6.0 PLEASEEEEE! |

I have an HTC Fuze (for ATT) and I absolutely HATE Windows Mobile 6.1. There are a number of reasons why I don't like it, but one of the top reasons is its text messaging. I really hate the conversation thing, and how messages aren't listed separately but rather all together, and how if you want to delete only ONE message (not every single one between you and someone else) you can't. Also, it doesn't list the date and the time like it does with Windows Mobile 6.0 (it's one or the other: same day it lists the time, and from the next day on it lists only the date). Anyway, I originally thought it was only like that on the FUZE but when I looked at the Samsung Epix, and another phone, they all have the same text layout with wm6.1. So all I want to do is downgrade the FUZE to Windows Mobile 6.0. I don't have a clue how to do it, and don't really understand all the technical language I've seen when attempting to look it up. If anyone can pleaseeeeeee help me, I would really appreciate it!
I've read some things about SIM and CID unlocking the phone, and something about ROM -- and I have no idea what any of it is, or what I need to do to my phone in order to get wm6.0.

"As do I, but I always keep copies on my storage card also, in a folder called Apps to Load. And after I flash or Hard reset I either auto-load everything with Sashimi,
http://www.winmo-experts.com/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4&sid=58f8912ccf3af6449dbca5229314c1c7
Or I just pick and chose what to reload by hand."
Thanks !!! I just looked at Sashimi and it looks like one of the most useful utilities I have seen. Any time I have done a Hard Reset or flashed a ROM on my Tilt, I have reloaded a list of software and patches by hand. Sashimi looks like it will solve that problem and make experimenting with different ROMs much easier.

New Fuze will not send Text Messages |

I bought a new Fuze two days ago, when I attempt to send a text message I get the message
"Your text message cannot be sent. Be certain that your service center address is correct in Settings and then
try sending the message again."
I took the original phone back to the store, the rep spent 35 minutes on the phone with tech support
but decided to just exchange the phone.
When I tried the new phone, it's doing the same thing.
Anyone have a clue what is happening, or where I can find the message center settings?

"im trying to access my yahoo mail. please lmk if you need anymore info. ive only had the phone a few days"
You can always try setting up your yahoo mail as an imap account. Go to new email account and set up as follows.
Yahoo!
incoming mail server (imap)
imap.next.mail.yahoo.com (it works!)
user name is your yahoo login name (ex abc)
outgoing mail server
smtp.mail.yahoo.com
check box outgoing server requires authentication
check box use same user name and password
Advanced settings(link on page where you put in outgoing mail server info)
check box require ssl for incoming
check box require ssl for outgoing

I am having an issue with my fuze not vibrating when receiving a new text message. I have set the "sounds & notification" to vibrate on "Messeaging: New Text message". In fact, I have "vibrate" set as my notification on a majority of the events. However, when I receive a text message I get orange icon on the home page but the phone will not vibrate.
The phone does vibrate when receiving a phone call. I am at a loss. All help will be appreciated.

You can send a mass SMS but there is not an option to create a distribution list to make it easy.
Create a new SMS.
Select Menu>Add Recipient and locate each contact you want to include one at a time.

"MobiTV should be included in the next software release for the HTC Fuze."
that would be great...especially if they released it for verizon...Only reason i have not tried to install it on my phone is because the links ive provided are only for GSM (att in this case) whereas Verison is CDMA (if you didnt already know lol)
