EZ-HTC-6800
HTC produces a wide range of smartphones, and for its own purposes gives each device a "codename." When a distributor or phone network wants to sell one of HTC's devices, it rebrands the phone to its own specifications, sometimes changing the color, the design on the case, and parts of the software. The smartphone also receives a new name. Because of the rebranding process, there are many phones with different names that are actually the same device. Below, each device is listed with its HTC codename first, followed by a list of a.k.a. (also known as) names of the device's various branded models.

The Shift only has a 30gb hard drive. Windows Vista takes half of that so there isn't much room to add other software. The hard drive should be at least 60gb, preferably 100+ gb. I am wainting impatiently for it to be released. I have the Imate Jasjar now with AT&T as my wireless carrier. Unfortunately, the Jasjar is a triband phone so it get lousy coverage with AT&T. Since the Shift is Quad band, I anticipate better reception. The additional functionality is like icing on the cake.

"The Shift isnt a Phone-it is a data centric device that also provides a phone application. It is like a mini PC! It will be expensive but so are PC's.
It can be used as a mobile phone - I have no idea who is going to pick up the rights (if anyone.) It may be a product that's sold as SIM unlock... Regardless it's going to be pricey - $2k at least."
That it isn't specifically designed as a phone has been hashed and re-hashed time and time again. That is supports the phone networks isn't in question either. Can you use the device as a VOICE phone? All the specs say it doesn't support voice function, that the only reason it has connectivity to one Telco or another is purely for data transfer type apps! It doesn't make a hell of a lot of sense to me for them to build phone functionality in, but then disable the ability to make a voice call on the device! So that is the REAL question: can you make a VOICE call with it? Not that no Telco will support it, not that it's only MEANT for data, but IS IT POSSIBLE to make a voice call with it, one way or another? I want one, but there is little point unless it can also work as a voice phone!

Hi, I have a Bell Canada cdma HTC 6800 aka the MOgul or it is identical to the HTC P4350 on the HTC website
If you put in small letter "p" , use 2 or three of them, this is what worked for me. For email, I used 2, then entered my password.
I hope this helps.
I am trying to find out how to back up my HTC 6800, last time OUtlook ate all my contacts. I am inquiring about Sprite software mentioned on this site.
Cheers,
Marilyn
